Documents Required

When applying for a ration card, the following documents have to be submitted along with the application form.

  • Proof of Date of Birth.
  • Proof of Residence.
  • PAN card.
  • Driving license.
  • Passport size photograph.
  • Aadhaar Card.

Step 2: Click on apply for service on the left bar of the screen.

Step 3: Select the service “Issuance of new ration card”.

Step 4: Fill the required details mentioned in the form and attach the scanned documents.

Step 5: Finally click on the “submit” button to submit your application.

Note:  Acknowledgement form will be displayed with your Application Reference Number and SARAL ID to check your application status.

How to Check Ration Card Status Online?

Applicants can check the status of their ration card application online by following the steps given below:

  1. Visit the official website of the Department of Food, Supplies and Consumer goods.
  2. Check the section of ‘Citizen’s Corner’ on the right side of the screen.
  3. Click on the ‘Track Food Security Application’ from the list of options.
  4. On clicking the option, various details must be given by the applicant such as:
  • Aadhaar number
  • New ration card number
  • National Financial Switch (NFS) application ID and Online Citizen ID
  • Old ration card number

How to Download Ration Card?

Step 1: Visit the official website nfs.delhigovt.nic.in.

Step 2: On the home page, click on ‘Download e-Ration card online’ from the Menu.

Step 3: Enter all the required details.

Step 4: Then click on Continue.

Step 5: Now you will receive an OTP to download an e-Ration Card on your registered mobile number.

Step 6: Enter OTP Received.

Step 7: Enter the Aadhaar Number of any other Family Member (In the case of the Head of the Family only, enter HOF details).

Step 8: Finally, click on Download.

NOTE: Now your Ration Card will be downloaded. After downloading, open it and take a printout of the same for further use.
